Project Quality Manager

The Project Quality Team consists of 20 highly competent and diverse members. Our team enable the company in its ability to plan and execute projects with the right level of Quality. The workplace is in Oslo or Halden and you will be reporting functionally to the Manager for the Project Quality Team and operationally to the Project Manager.
Getting a flying start
To succeed in the Project Quality Team, which is part of the Quality Department, you have experience from marine and/or land-based industry. You have ideally worked in companies that are project driven, which have activities related to managing Quality aspects in projects. You also have experience working domestically or internationally. Your experience can be from any engineering discipline or project / line management. Passion for Quality is the major key to succeeding in this role as training and guidance will be given on the specific tasks. You are comfortable taking lead by ensuring quality in the projects.
How you make an impact
You will work in a project team as Project Quality Manager and facilitate all aspects of Quality activities in projects from tender to project close-out as required. The primary objectives for the Project Quality Manager are to structure and manage the quality assurance planning tools as required by the project. This applies to the project line organization and is cascaded effectively through all phases of the project.
Additionally, you will also take part in, but not limited to:

Non-conformance handling and reporting internally within Nexans and against customer, suppliers and sub-contractors

Inspection & Test Plans / Final Documentation - Establish and follow up structure for inspection and MRB activities

Auditing – Coordinate client audits and perform audits on suppliers / sub-contractors

Project Compliance - Stage Gate follow up to ensure compliance with management systems

Project Risk – Support, and be part of the Risk process
Your starting point when you join

University degree MSc, MBA, BSc or similar, preferably in engineering- or QHSER discipline (relevant experience and / or QHSER mindset can compensate).

Preferably (not mandatory) QHSER experience from marine and/or land-based industry

Self-propelled and ability to be demanding in order to implement and follow-up Quality requirements

Fluent in English, written and oral. Norwegian is a plus.
