Logistics Manager

In order to reinforce our Supply Chain Team for our Charleroi’s plant, we are looking for a : Logistics and Distribution Manager (m/f) 

 

Areas of responsibility

 

  • Transportation and Logistic management
    • Ensure quality & on time delivery of finished products within the legal fastening aspects & through existing standards in compliance with legal rules and intern regulations  (e.g. shipment, planning, labeling, and securing of reels)
    • Participate in drafting specifications for negotiating transport contracts
    • Ensure that logistics operations meet customer service standards and resolve complaints
  • Warehousing & inventory management
    • Supervise the receiving of incoming raw materials and manage returnable packaging process (customer and supplier)
    • Lead quarterly inventory and optimize storing areas & logistic flows
    • Lead the scrap recovery process
  • Team leadership
    • Lead and manage the logistics team (~ 10) to create a collaborative and efficient work environment
    • Apply and continuously improve safety procedures
    • Develop the team to increase polyvalence and safety mindset

 Qualification

  • Master degree in Logistic, Supply Chain or Business administration or a related field. Bachelors with strong experience may also apply.
  • 3-5 years working experience within the industrial environment;
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities;
  • Ability and experience to work in a fast-paced international environment;
  • Relevant experience working with SAP ECC6 and Microsoft Office;
  • Good communication and co-operation skills;
  • Fluent in French and English.
