WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM

The Accessories team is a diverse and multicultural team with team members in Belgium, France and Switzerland. The team is responsible for managing and coordinating the production, purchasing and kitting of all accessories for our projects in HV land.

 

GETTING A FLYING START

As Site Purchasing Leader you will oversee the following activities on the site you are responsible for :

  • Local Site Purchasing and Local Vendor Management: reassessment of needs, launch of RFI, RFQ contract designs, implementation and monitoring of continuous improvement plan.
  • Support the definition of the category strategy / Business Units, in line with the vision of the group, Business Unit and ensure the alignment of group practices / BU / sites.
  • Is responsible for the Purchasing performance and the implementation of Procurement strategies, contracts and / or agreements negotiated by the Group
  • Provide relevant reports to plant manager / site manager related to purchasing activities and performance
  • Provide relevant reports to the SPM and Group Purchasing Department on the performance and all the Purchasing activities related to the site
  • Responsible for implementation of Nexans Processes and Standard Purchasing
  • Responsible for the implementation of transversal Group Purchasing initiatives on your perimeter


HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT  
 

STRATEGY & MANAGEMENT

  • Establishes the strategy for Purchasing and Supplier Panels
  • Implements the execution plan at its scope in his/her Business Unit
  • Contributes to the identification and reduction of risks related to local purchases

TRANSACTIONAL PURCHASE

  • Challenges the expression of the needs (recasting of the cost, functional analysis, standardization ...)
  • Consolidate needs at the appropriate level (global, local)
  • Supports the definition of a functional specification (decision matrix for information request / quote, etc.)
  • Performs information/quote requests
  • Leads negotiations to select the best supplier (based on cost breakdown, total cost of ownership and risk elements)
  • Manages contracts and their follow-up (customization, deployment, performance evaluation)
  • Contributes to the mitigation of claims

 COMPETITIVE WATCH

  • Contributes to supplier market analysis by providing information on local suppliers
  • Analyzes market trends (products, suppliers and customers) and cost drivers in the market of major suppliers.
  • Establishes market benchmarks (customers, competitors, suppliers)
  • Establishes the cost structure of the solution
  • Identifies and proposes alternative solutions in the panel supplier of his or her factories

 OPERATIONAL INVOLVEMENT

  • Know how to work effectively with internal customers and stakeholders
  • Use Excel & BI tool to oversee spend management of its perimeter

 

YOUR STARTING POINT WHEN YOU JOIN

  • Fluent in English and French
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial purchasing
