Position  

D&U AMEA Financial Analyst  

 

Organization 

The Financial Analyst is a key element of the BG Finance team and will work closely with key BG functions (Sales, Operations, Purchasing) and all Business Units. It is the perfect position to discover Nexans worldwide business operations and interact with key stakeholders. 

 

Scope:  

  • Distribution & Usages activities in Americas, Middle East & Africa 

  • 7 Business Units, 13 Countries (Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Morocco, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Turkey, Lebanon and Qatar), 19 legal entities, 22 plants and logistics centers 

  • 1.3bnEur of Std Revenue  

 

Reporting: BG Finance Manager 

 

Areas of Responsibilities 

 

Financial Controlling / Reporting:  

  • Actively participate in the monitoring of financial performance at BG Level on both P&L and Cash sides, focusing in particular on commercial, purchasing and industrial performance 

  • Assist in the coordination of the BUs monthly financial closings ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting (monthly actuals & rolling forecast) 

  • Participate to monthly BUs business reviews and to the preparation of BG monthly Business Reviews  

  • Participate in the elaboration of yearly Budget and 3-year strategic plan 

  • Continuously improve BG reporting templates / dashboards to improve analysis, enabling to highlight performance, key levers and areas of risks 

 

Performance Analysis:  

  • Provide on request analysis based on available data 

  • Develop dashboards enabling BG Management to strengthen its follow up, better understand business challenges and take management business decisions 

  • Lead the implementation of evolutions linked to Group and BG’s new requirements (Finance and other BG functions) 

 

Continuous Improvement: 

The Financial Analyst will also support and/or lead the design and deployment of continuous improvement projects. 

 

Required Skills & Qualification 

  • Result oriented and hands on, agile, having internal customer service mindset, able to meet tight deadlines 

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills and ability to interact with operations 

  • Written and oral communication skills 

  • At ease with Excel, PPT, Consolidation tools (HFM, BFC …), Experience with PowerBI would be a plus. 

  • +3 years of experience 

  • Plant Controlling experience would be a appreciated 

  • BAC +5, Engineering or Business School, with a specialization in Finance 

  • Fluent in French and English
