Help Nexans ISP (Industry Solutions & Projects) define its new Equity Story as a standalone company

 

Nexans is a global leading cable solution provider historically, positioned mainly on :

 

  • industry markets (including energy resources - e.g. Wind offshore, Solar -,  transportation - e.g. Rolling Stock, Aerospace -,  industry automation, Telecom in fast growing markets - e.g. Europe, South East Asia, North America) - 45% of the company’s sales in 2021

In this context, Nexans has engaged in rotating its business portfolio towards electrification through targeted and selective organic growth and through both disposal and acquisition of assets, in order for the group to operate at its full potential.

 

ISP Finance & strategy team is in charge of this transformation and covers the process end to end: new standalone company strategy definition and organization, carve out preparation, target operating model definition, portfolio optimization, build up M&A opportunities, Financial Modelling, etc..

 

ISP is looking to recruit interns to grow our talent pool and reinforce the strategy and Corporate functions.

Areas of responsibilities

 

This role will involve working in close collaboration to the BG Finance and strategy team & management (ISP BG CEO & CFO) in order to:

 

  1. Build up analyses & syntheses linked to BG corporate finance and strategy covering a broad range of topics such as:

 

Corporate finance (financial performance analysis and follow up, business reviews)

Corporate strategy (selective growth, business units transformation and optimization, etc.)

Market analysis

M&A opportunities analyses (company analysis, business plan & synergies calculation)

 

  1. Be involved along with project management in the definition of the BG strategy:
    • C-level syntheses and action plan follow up material to support decision making
    • Synthesis of information gathered from all stakeholders (e.g. group experts, external advisors such as consulting firms or investment banks, etc.)

 

  1. Support in preparing financial analysis and models (e.g. Business Plan modeling, units financial performance review) to support Management define strategy & and monitor financial performance

Preferred qualifications

 

  • Gap year or End-of-course internship
  • French speaker & Fluent English oral and writing skills
  • Proven presentation skills
  • Proven strategy and finance skills, as well as mathematical acumen
  • A first experience in strategy consulting or within a group strategy function, investment bank, audit / transaction services is a plus
