Context

▪ In 2024, the Industrial Solutions & Projects Business Group will separate from the Nexans Group to become an independent company.
▪ Our future company, which will become a reality at the end of 2024, boasts double-digit growth, prospects for expansion in sectors at the heart of the energy and industrial transition, with an international presence close to our customers.
▪ We manufacture and design cables and complex solutions for our industrial customers. With a balanced presence 
between Western Europe and Asia, and recent investments in Poland and the United States, our human-scale company is a local player with a global reach.
▪ Over the course of this year, we will be working together to define our identity, values and working methods in line with our culture, our size and our ambitions, while building on our century-old industrial culture, the solidity of our technical skills and our proximity to our customers. ▪ As part of our separation, we need to set up our own support teams for the central functions: Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Purchasing and Legal. More than 50 positions are being created to form new, autonomous teams.

Objectives
▪ Report to Finance Director France
▪ In charge of French entities : Nexans Industrial solutions France, Nexans Aerospace France 


Area of responsibilities
Could evolve, not exhaustive 

Payment Batches Management:

  • Coordinate and oversee the creation and processing of payment batches.
  • Ensure accuracy in payment instructions, including vendor details, amounts, and payment terms.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to verify invoices and facilitate timely payments.
  • Implement and maintain secure payment processes to prevent fraud or errors.
  • Stay informed about changes in payment regulations and technologies, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and security.

 

FX Hedging :

  • Monitor the flows in foreign currency and hedge the fx exposure (USD mainly) together with the Front office (Central Treasury) who executes the deal
  • Ensure that the proper hedging policy is in place
  • Mlonitor risk
  • Understand, analyze and monitor the Fx result of the 2 French Legal Entities
     

Cash Management and Cash Forecast :

  • Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasting models to project the company's short-term and long-term liquidity needs.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Sales, Operations, and Finance, to gather relevant information for forecasting, such as upcoming expenditures, receivables, and investment opportunities.
  • Provide timely and insightful reports on cash flow projections, highlighting potential liquidity challenges or excess cash positions.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities related to cash flow, 
  • Collaborate with the Group Treasury team to implement strategies that optimize cash flow, including investment of excess funds and effective debt management.
     

Financing activities :

  • Oversee the issuance and management of bank guarantees, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of all active and expired bank guarantees, including relevant details such as amounts, expiration dates, and purposes.
  • Regularly liaise with banks to confirm the validity and renewal of existing guarantees and negotiate favorable terms for new guarantees.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reflect bank guarantee-related transactions accurately in financial records and reports.

 

Banking Relationships :

  • Manage daily relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions for banking services to optimize cost and efficiency.

 

Required skills and qualification

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, team oriented, negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, to prioritize work, to manage time efficiently, to delegate to direct reports when appropriate support function cost
  • Cash oriented person
  • Excellent knowledge of the SAP System (ERP-System)
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills, including Excel spreadsheet modeling and PowerPoint charts, 
  • Accounting knowledge in the receivable field highly appreciated
  • Above 3 years in a similar position
