Treasury Operations Director

The Operations Treasury Department is responsible for transactions with banks, suppliers, brokers for all treasury and metal activities. It is a key department in terms of segregation of duties and to mitigate fraud risks.

 

The Treasury Operations Director is responsible for the treasury and metal operations, and specifically to manage teams in charge of the following operations:

  • EU Treasury Hub, in charge of Treasury operations for several entities
  • Payment Factory, in charge of payment on behalf of the group
  • Back Office Metals & FX, in charge of payment and reconciliation of derivative transactions
  • Management of a team of 7-9 people

 

Areas of responsabilities : 

 

  • Responsible for people management of EU Treasury Hub, Payment Factory and Back Office
  • Ensure all payments are well executed, and processes are efficient and secured, through the in-house bank and cash-pooling in place
  • Manage the Global Bank relationships, in coordination with the Group VP Treasury & Financing
  • Support subsidiaries for any cash or specific treasury transaction (dividends payment, acquisition, …)
  • Be a key contact with IT department and other finance teams, such as Accounting, Controlling and local teams
  • Lead any operational project to integrate a new entity / carve-out entities to be sold
  • Lead any regulatory change in cash management with its impact on systems and banks
  • Identify and implement innovative technology used for treasury functions (web banking, cash pooling…)
  • Ensure internal control is well implemented and documented
  • Promote best practices and golden rules to any Nexans employee in contact with treasury as well as manage the on-boarding of new employee interacting with the treasury function

 

Required skills and qualifications : 

  • Education: MBA or Master in Finance, preferably with a specialization in Corporate Finance or Treasury
  • Experience: 10-15 years in a Central Treasury or Senior Finance Function
  • Competences: FX, IR Markets, Commodities, Treasury Management and Administration; IFRS Accounting for financial transaction
  • Language: French and English
  • Personal Attribute: Global Team Player, Analytical Skills, Control and Accuracy
  • Leadership, quick decision maker, good internal and external communicator and negotiaton
