CYCLE COUNTER CLERK 

 

PURPOSE:

 

Performs routine operating functions in support in SAP. Work involves product quality investigative work, physical inventory work and data entry to maintain material management system. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

  • Perform product quantity checks/stock taking.
  • Perform stock transfers.
  • Investigation of stock  discrepancies
  • Reconcile variances between stated inventory and physical counts.
  • Enter data in SAP and Excel.
  • Maintain the Master Inventory Sheet
  • Assist Supply Chain team with other inventory related tasks
  • Follow all safety rules
  • Prepare reports
  • Maintain tracking sheets

 

EXECTED RESULTS 

 

  • Accurate stock reporting
  • Identification of events/activities contributing to stock variances
  • Ontime completion of tasks-adherence to count schedule

 

REQUESTED COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  •  3-5 yrs experience in warehousing in a manufacturing setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift experience required, and willingness to learn additional equipment.
  • Must be able to handle physical heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Position requires standing/walking 60%, operating material handling equipment 10%, & sitting at desk 30%
  • Ability to work individually as well as on a team
  • Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate with employees
  • Good computer systems knowledge including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong experience in SAP MM, SD & LE modules or similar ERP system (Oracle, JDE, etc).
  • Experience and understanding of 5S and Lean initiatives for manufacturing
  • .Experience and understanding of problem Solving Skills such as 8D, 5 Why, Corrective Action Reports
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
  • Walking indoors and outside facility
