Payroll and Benefits Specialist
Nexans High Voltage USA is a European company with a brand new manufacturing facilty in Charleston, South Carolina and a Sales office in New York, New York. We are searchng for an experienced payroll & benefits specialist to join our team.
The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing HRIS, payroll, time and attendance and benefits for population of 230+ employees in the USA.
Responsibilities Include:

- Administer bi-weekly payroll, benefits, time & attendance and administrative reporting for the US.
- Properly manage funding, administration and follow-up of the US retirement and savings plans (401k)
- Manage monthly benefit billing and reconciliation process
- Administer worker's compensation and return to work program
- Coordination of monthly wellness activities
- Coordination of annual meetings for retirement planning and annual open enrollment sessions
- Revision and maintenance of Annual Employee Benefit Guides
- Maintenance of all benefit plan documents
- Assist in benefit plans related audits and federally mandated filings
Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) year degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Payroll and benefits related certifications
- Five (5) years experience processing payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees
- Five (5) years adminstering benefits including 401k plans
- Thorough understanding of ERISA and DOL Wage & Hour laws
- Organized, detail orientated, proactive self-starter.
