WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM
The team is organized by geographical responsibility with 28 team members located in Norway, France, UK and USA. Our team is responsible for sales, marketing, tendering and business intelligence activities for G&T. We are looking for a talented, curious, and environmentally passionate Sales and Marketing Director who will lead the sales and business development activities for her/his area of responsibility and will manage strategic relationships with key customers. The workplace is in Oslo, Norway and you will be reporting the VP Sales, Marketing and Tendering.
GETTING A FLYING START
To succeed in the Sales, Marketing & Tendering department, you have extensive experience from the power transmission industry. You have experience from managing strategic relationships with key customers and leading sales and tendering teams. You have worked in companies that are project-driven and have activities related to high voltage cable projects. You have experience working domestically or internationally. Ideally, your experience is related to interconnectors, windfarms, or power from shore. You will be comfortable with ensuring quality and safety during the projects. You have strong negotiation skills and a strategic approach to business development.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
You will work in strategic teams as a KAM manager on high-value projects with a focus on sales and marketing operations. To do this, you lead strategic opportunities, manage customer relationships, and support project execution activities such as claims and variations. With your strong interpersonal communication skills, you will ensure the success of sales and tendering activities. In addition, you will be comfortable working with cross-functional teams to develop efficiencies and take part in technical improvements relevant to our department. You boost your impact by actively promoting Quality and HSE.
YOUR STARTING POINT
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience in sales and marketing of high voltage power transmission projects
- In this role, the likelihood of succeeding will increase if you have strong technical and commercial awareness
- As we work with high-value strategic projects, it is important to know the local regulations and customer specifications
- In Nexans, we work in teams and are driven by project execution, therefore being able to collaborate and having strong organizational skills is of utmost importance
- Fluent in English, German is highly appreciated
