The Machinery, Cryogenics & Superconductivity (MCS) business as part of the Nexans Acceleration Units in Hannover (Germany) is looking to strengthen its team.

 

We are therefore looking for a

 

Unit Controller (m/f/d)

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Implementation of production controlling: determination and control of deviations, identification of key figures (cash flow, incoming orders, turnover, margins,…), inventory analysis
  • Realization of tasks related to the monthly closing and reporting: preparation of the income statement and statistical data, comparison of plan and actual figures, determination of the rolling forecast (RFC) as well as the execution of analyses from various operational tools in order to supply and improve the financial reporting from HFM Planning
  • Collaboration in budget preparation, cost center planning and strategic planning
  • Billing of long-term contracts and Percentage of Completion (PoC): derivation of monthly PoC accounting, reconciliation and control of figures, fixed cost calculation and planning
  • Processing of special tasks, e.g. preparation of presentations, implementation and control of internal and external financed projects, approval of external orders as part of the digital purchasing process
  • Implementation of Group guidelines, processes and applicable procedures
  • Close cooperation with our shared service centers

 

Your Profile

 

  • Successfully completed university degree in business administration, finance or  a similar qualification
  • Several years of professional experience and reliable knowledge of accounting, ideally in an international business
  • Practical Knowledge in the use of SAP ECC6 and group data tools (Business Intelligence, Business Object, Power BI...), HFM knowledge would be appreciated
  • Fluently in German and English
  • Problem-solving, creative and positive mindset with a strong impulse for process analysis and improvement
  • Independent work method which enables to collaborate with colleagues in different locations and challenging environments
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to build strong working relationships within all functions and levels of the organization
  • Hands-on mentality and the ability for in-depth analysis
