Safety Manager Power Grid & Connect SAM-NAM-APAC Region

Purpose

This position is to support and assess factories by developing safety culture and improve safety performance thanks to the various Nexans Safety Tools, standards, processes and policies. The participation to the group safety network is a must to define and improves standards, share best practices and participate to the SMDP program as a trainer.

Areas of responsibility

o   Deploy and promote the Nexans Safety management system and its tools (8D, Kpi measurements, AMS, Take 5, SUSA walk and SUSA observation, JSA….

o   Defines for each factory / country in coordination with the plant manager the Safety organization. Participate to recruitment of New safety members and assessment of existing team.

o   Trains and coaches the local Safety officers with safety tools and processes. Assess the performances and competences in coordination with Plant Managers.

o   Do calibration audits (GR, Safety fundamentals). Random check of JSA / SUSA observations.

o   When needed, follow governance report and action plan per factory.

o   Manages information and communication on Safety within the region (Share Point).

o   Follows the deployment of Digital 4.0 program and its impact on safety.

o   Promote the best practices sharing within the SAM/NAM/APAC area  and outside.
