Nexans has initiated a major strategic orientation towards innovation to support its growth in value rather than in volume.
Within Corporate Innovation, Service and Growth Department, the Digital and Data Innovation Team oversees the development of new solutions leveraging on digital, analytics and AI technologies.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a head of digital services product management.

Purpose
The Head of Digital Product Management is ultimately responsible for the successful offerings management of innovative digital solutions. The purpose of the position is to work worldwide with business stakeholders and partners to ideate, define, create, market, and launch customer value-added solutions encompassing IoT, digital services, and data analytics, leveraging our cable manufacturing, distribution, and installation business activities.
The Head of Digital Product Management's expected impact is to drive growth, increase profitability, enrich customer experience, reduce environmental impact, and increase brand awareness.
Areas of Responsibility
1. Product Strategy:
- Build and nurture the digital product/service vision and convert it into a concrete strategy.
- Turn that strategy into a well-thought roadmap.
- Partner with business owners, architects, and agile development teams to incorporate it into the company's digital product roadmap.
- Ensure that your team and stakeholders understand and embrace it through engaging communication.
- Integrate your group product strategy within the company's digital strategy.
2. Product Discovery:
- Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with designers and development teams throughout the process.
- Collect user and customer insights via interviews and workshops to identify value-added features.
- Understand user pain points and needs through qualitative research or quantitative data.
- Analyse product usage through analytical tools to understand what drives usage and conversion.
3. Product Delivery:
- Transform business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
- Determine, consolidate, and prioritize customer and user requests into a Product Backlog, considering feasibility, viability, and desirability.
- Oversee, manage, and lead requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing.
- Partner with architecture teams to identify key capabilities needed and potential issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization.
- Ensure that all products shipped by your team are bug-free.
- Test hypotheses and ideas in the field with ingenious MVPs.
- Set up and monitor performance indicators for the digital solutions.
- Analyse feature performance through A/B testing, behavior data, etc., and generate insights about your product.
4. Product Launch and Roll Out:
- Work with local business owners and the business development team to customize solutions to meet market needs and ensure successful product launches.
- Collaborate with local marketing to develop positioning and messaging, ensuring differentiation from competitors.
- Contribute to creating and deploying marketing campaigns that raise awareness, generate leads, and drive success.
5. Offer Lifecycle Management:
- Efficient Operations: Ensure that back-office systems and processes are finely tuned for seamless order transactions and profitable service delivery.
- Sales Support: Develop sales collateral to empower local sales and marketing teams and designated business partners.
- Marketing Maven: Keep a watchful eye on business performance, providing regular reports to guide decision-making.
6. Project Leadership:
- Lead all project stakeholders in a consistent product approach (discovery, development, roll out), including business owners, IT, data experts, UX/CX experts, process owners, and agile development teams.
- Apply agile development principles and set up or use appropriate project management tools.
- Set foundations and structure for a digital factory organization.
Profile:
You are:
- A Graduated Engineer, Master of Science Degree in computer science or Information systems, or a Business School graduate.
- A person with 5-10 years of experience in digital product management, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems.
- An analytical and "customer-centric" person, convinced that data could help drive your product strategy.
- Fluent in English.
You have:
- Knowledge of the world of digital services.
- Experience with digital platform ecosystems (IoT, API, Billing, etc.).
- Experience in project management and a strong ability to orchestrate competencies and expertise in cross-functional teams (UX, Data, Architecture, Marketing, Business Owner).
- A "doer" mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-growing scale-up environment.
- Thoughtful and a natural ability to get things done. You qualify as an "achiever."
- Strong communication capabilities to facilitate dialogue between IT/technical teams and business or supply chain teams.
It would be a plus if you have:
- Digital Services and Digital Customer design experience.
- Certification in an Agile Project Management Methodology.
- Strong collaboration experience with industrial supply chain
- Experience with back-end and front-end programming languages.
- Experience in digital transformation within a B2B industrial company.
- Strong collaboration experience with a Digital Factory.
