At Nexans our global vision is to electrify the future. At our business group ‘Generation & Transmission’ this means designing and fabrication the worlds’ best cables. We deliver EPCI turnkey projects anywhere in the world. This means we have the best tools, equipment and people with competence and skillset to install and service those cables.



Located in Norway, the team consists of 35 highly competent and diverse members. Due to the unique engineering skills of our team, we are able to plan and execute marine and land cable installation projects anywhere in the world. We are able to overcome environmental constraints and client requirements with our unique engineering expertise. Our team is expanding in Nantes so we are looking for 3 Marine Installation colleagues to be based there.



To succeed in Marine Installation, you need experience in the energy, maritime, marine, oil&gas, offshore or construction fields. You have worked in companies that are project driven, and have activities related to Marine projects. You have experience working domestically or internationally. Ideally your experience is related to interconnectors, windfarms, or power from shore. You will be comfortable with ensuring quality and safety during the projects. You have experience with taking charge and working on own initiative through your natural problem-solver mentality and leadership skills.



Our projects will rely on you as a technical key-player for a Marine SOW. You will Assist the Marine Lead EngineerProject Manager and Engineering Manager with the project establishment phase. This includes assisting with: SOW overview, Contract clarifications, schedule, budget, MDR, procurement plan etc. You will also take responsibility on the project phase, making sure that the work is performed in accordance to Nexans and project requirements. This include develop documents/drawings according to the MDR, design and engineer modifications to the standard spread as required, follow up marine related subcontracts and more!



  • BSc or MSc degree – Marine related
  • 5 years of relevant experience. Extensive experience with similar positions can compensate for formal education.
  • In order to succeed in this role, you will need to be a problem-solver who is capable of thinking outside the box.

  • Fluent in French & English – oral and written.
