How you make an impact
Strategy, development and management
- Assistance in development of strategy and objectives for the HSSER area within Installation
- Coordination and follow- up of HSSER discipline activities towards G&T Business Group and Group HSSER
- Responsible for managing of HSSER / day to day support to assist the department in meeting their responsibility for HSSER performance
- Supporting Customer satisfaction initiatives and Excellence in Operation
- Foster a pro-active HSSER culture through training and other initiatives
Management systems
- Manage the health and safety processes as required
Compliance, reporting, incident and verification management
- Ensure that the Installation and Services team is knowledgeable about and compliant to HSE systems and tools
- Assist in Continuous Improvement development of the organization with regards to HSE activities and manage HSE system improvement initiatives
- Ensure reporting are performed in accordance with G&T /Group rules. Follow-up of HSE incidents, near Misses and SUSA’s, improvements and lessons learned
- Initiate and perform status reviews of HSSER within the department, and initiate inspections, audits and other verification activities
- Ensure cross functional coordination on HSSER topics with other G&T departments, including HSSER input to G&T BG project portfolio
Risk Management
- Assist the HSSER Manager Installation and services in implementing the Risk Management System with respect to
- Oversee that risk management activities are being implemented across the Installation organization, hereunder fasciltate risk workshops, follow- up of HAZIDS, HAZOPS, FMEAs, etc
Training/ development:
- To facilitate and perform required training on Nexans HSSER tools and systems
Others
- Be a HSSER Role model; Have zero tolerance for poor HSE standards, and intervene to stop unsafe work
- Assist Installation and Services with other HSSER tasks as and when required
- Ensuring effective coordination and communication with Project QHSSER Managers related to HSE activities
Your starting point when you join
- Higher technical education from college or university (bachelor / master's degree) and / or other relevant work experience.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience from project driven business, experience from offshore installation or subsea operations is a plus.
- Enjoy to lead and work in project teams but also independently.
- Structured and accurate mindset.
- Creative and has an analytical and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
- Like to seek more knowledge within your own discipline area and other interface areas.
- Experience with Installation analyses is a plus.
- Excellent English language skills – Norwegian is a plus.

Getting a flying start
To succeed in our department, you have relevant experience within marine installation engineering, and some experience with a combined office, site, and offshore work environment. You also have worked in companies that are project driven, and have activities related to marine installation, preferably subsea cables and/or offshore wind, interconnectors or power from shore. At the same time being comfortable with ensuring quality and safety during the projects, ideally you are not afraid to take lead through your natural initiative and drive.
