How you make an impact

Task and areas of responsibility for the Equipment Engineer is given below:

 

General

  • Design, modification and maintenance support of equipment system or selected equipment items
  • Be a quality driver making sure the equipment is maintained and tested according to operational requirements and rules & regulations
  • Take part in developing Operation and Maintenance procedures for equipment
  • Take part in developing courses for equipment, training of technicians and operators
  • Support in recommendations for the equipment and system (e.g. maker, capacities, function)
  • Manage (together with procurement responsible) equipment related subcontracts/purchases

 

Innovation

  • Clarify if any project adaptions made to equipment should be made permanent
  • Continuous improvements through documentation and feedback
  • Take part in lessons learned and experience transfer.

 

Documentation

  • Develop documents/drawings needed to set up and use the equipment including modifications/new design and layouts.
  • Take part in DIC, IDC and document reviews.
  • Keep documentation library up to date. Enrich the documentation library.
     

 

Teamplayer

  • Interface and share relevant information towards relevant departments, in particular, Projects, Marine Operations and Survey Department to ensure the Capjet equipment is set up and used according to agreed understanding of requirements.
  • Be a QHSE role model

Getting a flying start

To succeed in our department, you have relevant experience within marine installation engineering, and some experience with a combined office, site, and offshore work environment. You also have worked in companies that are project driven, and have activities related to marine installation, preferably subsea cables and/or offshore wind, interconnectors or power from shore. At the same time being comfortable with ensuring quality and safety during the projects, ideally you are not afraid to take lead through your natural initiative and drive.
