How you make an impact

Task and areas of responsibility for the Equipment Engineer is given below:

  • Responsible for executing and reporting progress of maintenance work orders of all designated Marine Installation owned Equipment.
  • Responsible for providing maintenance inputs to Maintenance Planner on equipment that needs Maintenance.
  • Contribute to good housekeeping in workshops, storage areas and warehouses within the area of responsibility.
  • Initiate needs of human resources, spare parts, consumables, machines and tools
  • Contribute in delivery of well-maintained and reliable equipment to Marine Installation Operations/projects
  • Ensure that corporate QHSE requirements are applied to
  • Participate in mandatory annual safety walks in warehouse and workshops.
  • At all times be updated and adhere on company procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Participate in risk reducing activities related to the area of work.
  • Take personal responsibility for own HSE in all involved activities. Have zero tolerance for poor HSE standards, and intervene to stop unsafe work. Act like a HSE role model for others.
  • Take personal responsibility in keeping set standards for Nexans Excellence Way (NEW) in storage and maintenance facilities within the area of work
  • Contribute in mobilization and demobilisation activities where equipment delivery issues are on the work order.
  • Support in Developing Nexans’ equipment.
  • Support in Equipment Operating Training of Operators (user training)
  • Take on other assigned tasks when needed.

Getting a flying start

To succeed in our department, you have relevant experience within marine installation engineering, and some experience with a combined office, site, and offshore work environment. You also have worked in companies that are project driven, and have activities related to marine installation, preferably subsea cables and/or offshore wind, interconnectors or power from shore. At the same time being comfortable with ensuring quality and safety during the projects, ideally you are not afraid to take lead through your natural initiative and drive.
