Job Title: Specialist Maintenance Engineer

How you make an impact
- Define and implement technical solutions on system/equipment
- Develop maintenance strategy for all equipment
- In cooperation with management develop equipment strategy (ownership, rental), advising regarding investments, modifications etc.
- Make sure that system/equipment are delivered to project, fit for purpose and according to project specification
- Manage handover to project in cooperation with workshop manager
- Retrieve and implement feedback and lessons learned from offshore operations, including quantitative and qualitative data
- Develop and maintain system/equipment documentation (standard system/equipment documentation and standard procedure), including system tools/checklists/documents templates etc
- Teamwork, utilizing technical competence within Nexans’ organisation to develop the best solutions
- Main point of contact towards projects and line organisation with respect to technical solutions
- Design modifications to system/equipment as required
- Quality control on work on system/equipment
- Take part in DIC, IDC and document reviews
- Research and development of new technologies
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Take personal responsibility for own HSE in all involved activities.
- Have zero tolerance for poor HSE standards and intervene to stop unsafe work.
Your starting point when you join
- Higher technical education from college or university (bachelor / master's degree) and / or other relevant work experience.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience from project driven business, experience from offshore installation or subsea operations is a plus.
- Enjoy to lead and work in project teams but also independently.
- Structured and accurate mindset.
- Creative and has an analytical and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
- Like to seek more knowledge within your own discipline area and other interface areas.
- Experience with Installation analyses is a plus.
- Excellent English language skills – Norwegian is a plus.

Getting a flying start
To succeed in our department, you have relevant experience within marine installation engineering, and some experience with a combined office, site, and offshore work environment. You also have worked in companies that are project driven, and have activities related to marine installation, preferably subsea cables and/or offshore wind, interconnectors or power from shore. At the same time being comfortable with ensuring quality and safety during the projects, ideally you are not afraid to take lead through your natural initiative and drive.
