IT Core Manufacturing Digital Expert - Shopfloor Applications

As an IT Core Manufacturing Digital Expert you will operate at local, country and global Level managing projects and supporting Manufacturing Shopfloor Applications such as MES, MES Performance and Unified Operation Center solution for all areas. You will operate in tight collaboration with solution provider and business teams and will be the guarantor of the standard defined for applications and will contribute to the analysis of each request for customization or evolution. As part of the Industrial Digital Transformation Center of Excellence you will coordinate the functional deployment projects from gap analysis to delivery till acceptance of the applications in scope on IT related topic.

Your main responsibilities will be :

• To define, implement and lead or manage IS/IT projects from project design stages to project acceptance, with the aim of obtaining an optimum result in compliance with the requirements of the Business.
• The Project design and implementation encompass the assistance of key users to write business requirements and to propose the solutions to be implemented. Based on resulting functional specifications, you will analyse and configure software package components, and make changes as necessary to components, in compliance with standards and procedures.
• Supervise the support of applications in your scope.
• Word closely with local / central IT/IS, industrial and program stakeholders with the aim to deliver the needed functional prerequisites required by the industrial solutions
• Monitor the standardization according to a common defined solution within the concerned area
• Ensure a homogeneous transversal communication (IS strategy & policy) with the business and IT
• Guarantee a good documentation (functional) of implemented solutions in the relative plants
• Consolidate data for Information security risks analysis or for architectural purposes to guarantee a secure and homogenous environment 

Strategy :

• • Support the business to translate their requirements into IT-OT projects a functional referent for the rest of the IT/IS teams on the delivery of the Functional Specification Documentations, System Integration, Interfaces, …) required by the Industrial Solution
  • Promote the functional deployment of plant digitalization  
  • Participate in business demand analysis to support functional evolutions keeping an overall coherence
  • Participate in the assessment and choice of technologies
  • Analyze gap between business needs and technology standards
  • Promote the standardization in defending IT and business strategy

Design :

• • Contribute to the design and implementation of the IT/OT standards and solutions
  • Estimate the resources and means necessary for activities within his/her area of responsibility
  • Ensure a fluent communication between the IT, IS, OT teams and the business
  • Contribute to the relationship with external suppliers
  • Plan the workload, communicate it and monitor adherence to service commitments

Development & Delivery :

• • Guarantee the coherence between the IT/IS/OT services and the business needs
  • Develop adequate functional solution towards the local business demands in IT/IS and OT
  • Communicate on time towards IT, IS, OT and business or program about the project evolutions or deliveries
  • Ensure the effective resolution on time of incidents and problems within his/her area
  • Be the key functional delivery actor within the IT/IS organization and the Industrial Digital Transformation Program with the aim to deliver all required functional prerequisites in time as per defined plan

Operations & Support :

• • Guarantees the performance of the daily incident management and small evolution requests
  • Maintains a good relationship with the internal functional expert roles (SME, ERP expert, Connectivity Experts) as well the Third Party Application management stakeholders
  • Support the functional design acceptance and go-live stabilization support on plants within the defined perimeter
  • Support the hand over to RUN acceptance with the needed deliverables
  • Ensure the needed functional knowledge and documentation transfer to the teams accepting the operational support
  • Works in close relationship with the production departments and IT project teams during the entire project phase until the end of the stabilization phase
  • Ensure the fluent communication between IT/IS and the program stakeholders

Continuous Improvement :

• • He/she encourage continues architecture and deployment process improvements and makes proposals to enhance them
  • Contributes to return of experience analyses with the aim to improve the delivery
  • Ensure that the documentation in his field is coherent, available, maintained, distributed and applied
  • Update Knowledge Management System with relevant documentation

Security :

• • Guarantee the respect of the cyber security principles defined and reports any anomalies
  • Supports Security by Design principles and enhancements
  • Contributes to return of experience analyses with the aim to improve the hardening

Your profile :

• Industrial engineer with software developing skills
• 5 - 10 years of experience in project management & deployment of software applications
• Recognized expertise on MES tool management, ideally Aveva one
• Experience in an international, multicultural and multi-site environment
• Experience and Knowledge of relevant business processes (production, supply chain, logistic, …) and implementation in relevant software.
