Purpose:
- Responsible for Material flow through production
- Cycle counting where required to ensure inventory accuracies as well as production priorities based on customer demand.
- Supporting role to Scheduling and purchasing, backfilling and cross training with process development.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Negotiating with suppliers
- Creating purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials
- Ensure MHR’s are issued in the proper windows defined by Finance
- Manage and maintain lead times and MOQ with all suppliers
- Analyze demand forecasts
- Manage inventory levels and develop production schedules to meet customer orders
- Review & analyze customer backlog and work with internal teams to expedite as required
- Ensure appropriate stock levels
- Track inventory usages while adhering to allocated storage footprints
- Ensure working capital values are within the defined threshold
- Manage internal MIN/MAX based on current production usages and storage allocation for all raw material, including consignment
- Use visual Kanbans where possible to help manage inventory
- Cycle count materials daily/weekly and reconcile to SAP
- Assist with month end financial closing activities
- Evaluate supplier performance and build relationships
- Communicate with internal teams (Manufacturing, Sales, Receiving, Finance) and external suppliers to coordinate supply chain activities
- Analyze data for planning and release, ordering, usage & inventory analysis and shortage resolution
- Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, forecast demand and manage inventory
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate prices, terms and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts both verbally and in written form
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in ERP Systems: Experience with SAP is an asset
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Concepts: Understanding of inventory control, production planning and material requirements/ordering
