WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM
You’ll be joining the Mass Impregnated Cables (MI) Engineering team, a highly competent and diverse group located in Halden. We are responsible for executing MI projects and all engineering activities related to our cable systems. Your workplace will be in Halden, with the possibility to work partially from home. You will report directly to Jan Roger Andersen, MI Department Manager.

Nexans’ submarine power cables are key to the renewable energy transition — connecting islands, linking nations, and delivering offshore green energy to the grid. We work closely with energy companies, research institutions, and partners worldwide to provide turnkey solutions that meet future demands. Your innovative and analytical mindset, combined with a structured approach, will set you up for success.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
As a Senior Engineer, you will contribute by coordinating and executing engineering tasks throughout the IMR business lifecycle, from tender to execution stage. Your role includes:
• Discussing technical challenges and identifying solutions
• Following Nexans’ Project Execution Model during engineering processes
• Participating in developing efficiencies and technical improvements in the department
• Actively promoting quality and HSE standards
Your expertise and proactive approach will help ensure reliable, innovative, and safe solutions for our cable systems.
YOUR STARTING POINT
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering
• 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience
• An innovative and analytical mind with a passion for both theoretical and practical work
• Well-organized and structured in your work
• Fluent in Norwegian and English
