ONBOARDING YOU TO THE COMPANY

At Nexans our global vision is to electrify the future. At our business group ‘Generation & Transmission’ this means designing and fabrication of the best cables in the world. We deliver EPCI turnkey projects anywhere in the world. This means we have the best tools, equipment and people with competence and skillset to install and service those cables.

WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM

We are responsible for executing MI projects and engineering activities related to all our cable systems. The workplace is in Halden with the possibility to work partially from home office. GETTING A FLYING START

To succeed in the MI department you must enjoy finding solutions to technical challenges and develop existing technology beyond current limitations. Nexans’ submarine power cables are key in the transition to renewable energy. Cables connect islands to the mainland, transfer energy between nations, and bring green energy from offshore renewables to the grid. We push technological boundaries to go deeper, longer and at higher voltages. We cooperate world-wide with energy companies, research institutions and others to provide turnkey solutions to meet future needs.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

You will work as a Senior Engineer in an MI project team with responsibility for the cables at all stages from design to purchasing, throughout testing, delivery and installation.

This position primarily involves engineering tasks for the Interconnector projects, supporting IMR activities, overseeing cable manufacturing, managing type test programs, and contributing to IMR tenders and projects. Furthermore, the position includes engineering and oversight of R&D projects, specifically focused on deep-water development for MI cables.
