About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Officer to join our dynamic Supply Chain team in Mesaieed, Qatar. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring seamless logistics operations, optimizing costs, and driving customer satisfaction. GETTING TO KNOW YOUR ROLEThe incumbent will be responsible for the various electrical and technical projects

 

MAKING AN IMPACT

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and supervise blue-collar teams including RM helpers, FG helpers, forklift operators, and carpenters.

  • Plan resources, manage schedules, and address absenteeism.

  • Define and implement work protocols, procedures, and operating standards.

  • Provide training to ensure team versatility and expertise.

  • Foster team motivation and ensure compliance with rules and safety standards.

Material Management

  • Oversee material receipt, inspection, and storage operations.

  • Record material movements accurately using Navision ERP.

  • Manage storage and deliveries of raw materials and finished goods.

Interface & Coordination

  • Work closely with Production, Quality, and Sales teams to manage lead times and customer requirements.

  • Coordinate with planning and purchasing teams for procurement and stock planning.

  • Ensure proper management of packaging, consumables, and finished goods inventories.

Logistics & Transportation

  • Manage transport bookings and ensure timely delivery of goods.

  • Liaise with forwarders and handle customer returns efficiently.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.

  • Optimize storage layout based on usage and safety.

  • Update stock files across various material categories.

Maintenance & Safety

  • Oversee proper equipment usage and first-level maintenance.

  • Ensure safety standards are upheld in all handling and transportation activities.

Carpentry Management

  • Inspect and manage drum repairs and quality assurance.

  • Perform site visits to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Monitor carpentry consumables and coordinate replenishment.
