Our Logistics Warehouse team are looking to recruit a new member of the team, based in Milton Keynes (UK). 

 

GETTING A FLYING START

This ‘hands on’ role reports to the Warehouse Manager, supported by day to day supervision of the Warehouse Team Leader and is expected to undertake the specific daily duties alongside the Warehouse Team to complete areas of responsibility (listed below) safely & efficiently to ensure a smooth business operation and customer demand.  

 

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

 

Health & Safety  

  • Ensure compliance health, safety and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment;
  • Attending and participating in daily SQDCE briefings
  • Perform regular Health & Safety inspections to ensure warehouse compliance (SUSA)
  • Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency.
  • Maintain high standards of vigilance in the warehouse;

 

Warehouse 

  • To load & unload vehicles where necessary.
  • Ensure any visitor or contractor to site abides by the required site rules
  • Quality checks for incoming stock, including visual checks, run offs and compliance (e.g. paperwork, cable markings, drum label)
  • To put away stock into a designated location
  • Ensure that any computerised or automated systems are accurate and up to date
  • To accurately cut cables ordered in accordance to business priority
  • To ensure all paperwork is correctly completed & handed in.
  • To ensure all drum cards & labels are amended, including any stock adjustments required are handed into the warehouse office for process
  • To accurately pick from correct batches & locations.
  • Loading of Racks with stock & removal of drums no longer required.
  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of products and materials is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures;
  • Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately;
  • To organise & prepare orders ready for despatch.
  • Quality checks for outgoing stock including ensuring the order is fulfilled and complete, there is no visible damage and the goods are protected for shipment
  • To serve Click & Collect Customers where required
  • Dismantling drums for ease of return to supplier
  • Ensure inventories in warehouse are accurate
  • Support with organising and participate in stock takes at regular intervals;
  • Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse. Where appropriate elevate the issue to the Warehouse Manager;
  • Train new Warehouse operatives within area of responsibility;
  • Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change;
  • Ensure hazardous materials are stored in accordance with requirements

 

YOUR STARTING POINTS

  • FLT Licence(s) desirable
  • Manual dexterity to operate safely within a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to multi task & work in busy environment.
