Plant Director Safi
Purpose:
The Plant Manager is responsible for the operation of a portion of Nexans’ industrial assets, leading and developing site operations organization with the objectives of maximizing customer satisfaction, operating profit, and cash generation, while ensuring employee safety. He monitors industrial performance and the achievement of financial results. He is committed to a continuous pursuit of industrial excellence. He develops a strategic vision for his site aligned with the Group’s industrial priorities. He is dedicated to consistently complying with the law, protecting the environment, and upholding Nexans’ reputation.
Areas of responsibility:
- Is responsible for the safety of employees and subcontractors by overseeing and implementing action plans to prevent accidents;
- Manages site operations and related expenses to ensure that financial performance targets are met;
- Proposes annual strategic plans for investment, training, etc.
- Ensures that annual priorities and objectives (operational and budgetary) are communicated to all employees;
- Ensures customer satisfaction by ensuring that deadlines are met and deliveries are complete;
- Organizes the management of industrial and financial performance: materials, productivity, quality, WIP and inventory, direct and indirect cost variances;
- Manages the site’s Human Resources in close collaboration with the Human Resources Department;
- Develops employees’ skills and understanding of processes using participatory tools;
- Ensures the promotion of industrial excellence by relying on best-practice benchmarks and standards;
- Deploys and implements continuous improvement programs and New methodologies;
- Ensures the acquisition of the necessary skills for the deployment and use of these methodologies;
- Defines the “breakthrough” projects to be implemented at production sites in terms of technology, organization, and management;
- Improves the value chain (making it more flexible, less complex, shorter, and faster) to increase profit generation;
- Coordinates support functions and defines roles and objectives;
- Ensures the promotion of cross-functional collaboration and openness to external partners (benchmarking);
- Ensures that QHSE and product certifications are developed, maintained, and properly implemented;
- Develops environmental protection plans;
