HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

You will manage a team of engineers that you allocate to different projects. You will set up project teams with senior and project engineer with responsibility within the onshore and topside installation of submarine cables. You will provide them a unique opportunity to follow a project from project award to energizing the cable system. Your engineers are responsible for planning the project execution phase and lead work during the onshore/topside installation. They will manage installation packages, suppliers, and subcontractors, make sure that required procedures, plans, analyses, calculations and other documentation are prepared. You will ensure that they also participate in developing technical solutions within the department. You will be responsible for ensuring that department competence is maintain, divide resources between projects and ensure interface between other Nexans departments. You make a solid impact by participating in Quality and HSE activities internally.

YOUR STARTING POINT

  • Higher technical education (BSc / MSc degree) and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience from the energy, subsea, construction or infra. industry.
  • Experience with planning operations, write technical procedures and specifications.
  • Able to read, understand and assure compliance to relevant codes and standards
  • Able to delegate within the group; understand requirements, contracts and define scope of work.
  • Practical, able to “see the whole picture” and “gather loose ends”, responsible and structured.
  • Creative, with an analytical and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
  • Excellent English language skills - both written and verbal.
  • Enjoy working both in teams and independently.
  • Like to seek more knowledge within own discipline area and other interface areas.
