WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM

As a Product Engineer in STSC, you  will play a key technical and operational role in supporting production, project execution, and research & development initiatives. You will work closely with internal engineering teams, production, project teams, and R&D specialists to ensure effective design, testing, and delivery of cables and components.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

In this role, you will:

  • Design cables and components according to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.

  • Support production, testing, delivery, and installation activities for projects.

  • Prepare, review, and verify technical drawings and documentation.

  • Coordinate internal interfaces with other engineering disciplines.

  • Contribute to as-built documentation and offshore supervision when required.

  • Participate in research and development of new technologies and tender activities.

  • Perform project work according to Nexans’ project model and best practices, including DIC and IDC activities.

  • Conduct relevant technical analyses and contribute to engineering process improvements.

  • Train new personnel and support the development of team competencies.

Your contributions will ensure that cables and components are delivered in accordance with Nexans’ standards, implementing competitive and efficient engineering solutions, while keeping technology aligned with industry best practices.

YOUR STARTING POINT

  • A university degree in engineering (BSc or higher) - eletrical, mechanical or relevant 

  • Knowledge of cable and component design and costing.

  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, verbal and written.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and innovative skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.

  • High sense of quality, punctuality, and on-time performance.

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure.
