We have been involved in many of the country's most ambitious projects, of such well-known end users like Kahramaa, Qatar Rail, Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Foundation, and many others. The plant is among the most advanced Nexans factories in the MENA (Middle-East North Africa) region. Being the worldwide leader in cabling solutions, Nexans has transferred its technology to QICC, which is extremely proud to contribute to the rapid development of Qatar economy aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.

In order to support the development and operations of the plant, we wish to fill a position of Production Supervisor, Production department.

🔍 About the Role

Lead and mentor the team operating wire-drawing, stranding, and rewinding machines within the Metallurgy Scope Section. Ensure high-quality outputs from each machine by monitoring processes and enforcing production and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily team operations: guide operators, oversee raw materials, tooling, tools & tackles, and consumables in line with company and safety standards.

  • Ensure machine operation adheres to work instructions and quality parameters for wire drawing, stranding, and rewinding.

  • Coordinate production plans based on schedules from the planning department.

  • Authorize production by verifying tooling, sampling machine output, evaluating control charts, and confirming proper identification tagging.

  • Monitor & validate operator-recorded production, quality, and process data; take corrective actions for non-conforming products and escalate issues to Foreman.

  • Oversee tooling logistics: ensure dies, tips, and marking segments are properly handled in coordination with the Die Shop.

  • Drive continuous improvement: propose productivity and quality enhancements.

  • Report raw-material or process issues, environmental concerns, and improvement opportunities to Foreman.

  • Ensure environmental compliance, including segregation of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.

  • Promote safety culture: enforce machine safety protocols, assist in incident analysis alongside safety officers.

  • Coordinate with maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

  • Support logistics in managing raw materials and in-process semi-finished stocks.

  • Train new operators on safe and efficient machine operation, including special processes like welding, crimping, etc.

  • ✅ Skills & Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Certified from an Industrial Training Institute (after Secondary School or Pre-Degree).

    • 8–10 years of experience as a Senior Operator on wire drawing and stranding machines.

    Technical Expertise

    • Deep operational knowledge of wire drawing, stranding, and rewinding equipment and principles.

    • Strong leadership and training capabilities.

    • Good command of English (spoken and written).
