At Nexans our global vision is to electrify the future. In Power Transmission, this means delivering the world’s longest and most complex HV subsea and land cable systems to connect nations and drive the global energy transition. We deliver EPCI turnkey projects anywhere in the world. This means we have the best tools, equipment and people with competence and skillset to produce, install and service those cables. The Technical Department STSC in Oslo is a critical part of this mission, supporting production, project delivery, tendering, and R&D activities to ensure that all products and solutions meet Nexans’ high-quality standards.

Design cables and components according to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.

Support production, testing, delivery, and installation activities for projects.

Prepare, review, and verify technical drawings and documentation.

Coordinate internal interfaces with other engineering disciplines.

Contribute to as-built documentation and offshore supervision when required.

Participate in research and development of new technologies and tender activities.

Perform project work according to Nexans’ project model and best practices, including DIC and IDC activities.

Conduct relevant technical analyses and contribute to engineering process improvements.

Train new personnel and support the development of team competencies.

A university degree in engineering (BSc or higher) - eletrical, mechanical or relevant

Knowledge of cable and component design and costing.

Fluency in Norwegian and English, verbal and written.

Strong communication, analytical, and innovative skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.

High sense of quality, punctuality, and on-time performance.

Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure.
