WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM

As Senior Contract Manager, you will join our Legal & Contract Management team based in Oslo and report directly to the Director of Contract Management. In this position, you will collaborate with Project Directors, Project Managers, and Contract Managers across our international projects. Your insight and leadership will help us deliver projects on time, within budget, and with integrity. You boost your impact by actively promoting Quality and HSE. The role encompasses both strategic and operational responsibilities, ensuring efficient project execution while providing guidance, mentorship, and support within the portfolio. Some travel will be required.

 

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

You’ll play a key role in securing Nexans’ success on major projects by:

  • Acting as Contract Manager on selected project(s) within your portfolio.
  • Supporting Project Directors and guiding Contract Managers across several projects.
  • Being the focal point for contractual matters and ensuring alignment with policies and best practices.
  • Providing senior leadership on claims, negotiations, and project execution.
  • Coordinating with legal and contract management teams.
  • Sharing knowledge and delivering training on relevant subjects as required

 

YOUR STARTING POINT

While there is no “perfect candidate,” these experiences will help you thrive:

  • Higher relevant education (BSc/MSc); legal education is an advantage.
  • Solid experience in contracts and project execution within EPCI, D&B, or civil projects – familiarity with FIDIC is a plus.
  • Experience with claims and dispute resolution.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
  • Experience from managing subcontractor packages and/or project teams.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
