Production Officer II

Safety:

• To ensure adherence to regular identification of SUSA, near miss, etc.
• To ensure adherence to Nexans Safety Golden Rules, procedure for emergency preparedness and response in case of fire, First Aid and oil spillages.
• To ensure adherence to safety regulation while handling cleaning solution, solvent, thinner PVC, XLPE, Purge-USA, fuel, oil, drawing solution, sawdust, etc. 

Quality:

• To ensure that all sections of factory floor work strictly within the quality specifications, towards the following-

At extrusion

1. Insulation, bedding and sheathing thickness,
2. Surface quality,
3. Length,
4. Printing etc.

At coiling

1. Cable surface quality
2. Length
3. Bad portions
4. Labelling etc.

At stranding

1. Wire diameter
2. Lay length
3. Surface quality
4. Length etc.

At drawing

1. Wire diameter
2. Tensile strength
3. Surface quality
4. Length etc.

• To ensure adherence to regular check of the following that they are working as expected-

1. Diameter control
2. Spark tester
3. Printer
4. Counter

• To ensure adherence to product identification and proper labelling.

Delivery:

• To ensure adherence to production plan to meet set PCA and OTIF targets.
• To ensure adherence to reporting and escalating of any issue that may cause delay in production plan.

Cost:

• To ensure that all sections of factory floor adhere strictly to autonomous maintenance and ‘OK to start” procedure, to capture minor machine problems at initial stages. 
• To ensure adherence to laid down standard operational procedure to reduce

1. Non-conformities
2. Copper scrap,
3. Aluminium scrap
4. PVC and XLPE Purge scrap,
5. Reworks, etc.

• To ensure adherence to proper machine and tools handling.
• To ensure adherence to laid down procedure for filling OEE forms.

Environment & 5S:

• To ensure adherence to 5S at working area.
• To ensure adherence to environmental procedures while handling cleaning solution, solvent, thinner PVC, XLPE, Purge-USA, fuel, oil, drawing solution, sawdust, etc. 

People:

• To ensure that the following continue to be trained at their various level as and when required for continuous manpower development-

1. Assistants  
2. Operators
3. Senior operators
4. Assistant Supervisors

• To provide the above team members with any coaching required for effectiveness and efficiency.
• To ensure collaboration and respect for team members.
• To ensure active participation of all production team members in all company trainings, such as QC, QHSE, HR, Production trainings, etc.

Growth:

• To ensure adherence to the company’s growth plan through best practices that leads to growth.
• To give input as and when required towards meeting set budget and company ambition pla
