Production Operator

POSITION:               Production Operator 

QUALIFICATION:     EET I, II or III, MET I, II or III, City and Guilds or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:         1 to 3 years 

FUNCTION:              Coiling and Packaging 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Safety:

  • To ensure regular identification of SUSA, near miss, etc.
  • To adhere Nexans Safety Golden Rules, procedure for emergency preparedness and response in case of fire, First Aid and oil spillages.
  • To adhere safety regulation while handling flammable material such as solvent, thinner, sawdust, etc.

Quality:

  • To ensure that your team monitor quality issues at the coiling and packaging section- such as cable surface quality, length, bad portions, wrong labelling etc.
  • To ensure proper identification and labelling of all coiled and packaged products.

Delivery:

  • To adhere to coiling and packaging plan to meet set PCA and OTIF targets.
  • To help with report and escalate of any issue that may cause delay in coiling and packaging plan.

Cost:

  • To ensure autonomous maintenance and ‘OK to start” procedure is adequately followed, to capture minor machine problems at initial stages. 
  • To adhere to laid down standard operational procedure to reduce  scrap  coiling and packaging.
  • To adhere to laid down procedure for filling OEE forms.

Environment & 5S:

  • To ensure 5S at working area.
  • To adhere environmental procedures while handling cleaning solution, solvent, thinner, sawdust, etc. 

People:

  • To cooperate with senior members of your team to receive ongoing training on the coiling and packaging machines as and when required.
  • To help team members with any assistance required for coiling and packaging section to achieve their objectives.
  • To ensure collaboration and respect for team members.
  • To actively participate in all company trainings, such as QC, QHSE, HR, Production trainings, etc.

Growth:

  • To adhere to the company’s growth plan through best practices that leads to growth.
  • To give input as and when required towards meeting set budget and company’s ambition plan.
