Quality Control Officer

POSITION:                        Quality Control Officer 

QUALIFICATION:              Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:                  3 to 5 years in a similar position with strong analytical skills and Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint and Word)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Safety:

  • Regular identification of SUSA, near miss, etc.
  • To adhere Nexans Safety Golden Rules, procedure for emergency preparedness and response in case of fire, First Aid and oil spillages. 
  • To adhere safety procedures while handling LPG inside laboratory. 

Quality:

  • To ensure products meet standards and customers’ specification.
  • To Prepare data for SQDCE meetings.
  • To monitor In-house verification of measuring devices.
  • To  Collect and enter data for quality performance analysis.
  • Assist in preparing data for Quality SMR meetings and QC Plant meetings.
  • To monitor the calibration of measuring devices.
  • To take part in problem solving activities.
  • To train and assist in training QC technicians and Inspectors, and production technicians.
  • Assists with any other duties assigned in line with product quality and services.

Delivery:

  • To perform inspection of In-process control, Finished Product, Raw material test activities, wooden drums, packaging items to meet customer delivery deadlines.

Cost:

  • To report all cost saving actions such as thickness and diameter control, resistance control, scrap control, weight measurement control, etc.
  • To execute receipt of copper scrap from customers for weight measurement.
  • To support and assist QC manager during Customer interaction, renewal of product certificate, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 audits and ambition plans of the company.

Environment & 5S:

  • To ensure 5S in the lab, FG test fence and product nonconformity area.
  • To adhere environmental procedures while handling laboratory chemicals, solvents, etc.
