About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Supply Chain Intern to join our team and support day-to-day operations across planning, logistics, and inventory management. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an industrial environment and learn how a global supply chain operates end to end.
As a Supply Chain Intern at Nexans, you will work closely with cross-functional teams (planning, production, purchasing, sales, logistics) to help ensure materials and finished products are available at the right time, in the right place, and at the right cost.

Key Responsibilities
Depending on the site and business unit, your responsibilities may include:
• Supply & Demand Planning
• Support the creation and update of demand and supply plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and production capacity.
• Assist in monitoring plan adherence and highlighting potential risks (stock-outs, delays, capacity constraints).
• Inventory & Materials Management
• Help track stock levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Contribute to inventory analysis (slow movers, excess & obsolete) and improvement actions.
• Support stock count preparation and reconciliation activities.
• Production & Logistics Coordination
• Support daily coordination between planning, production, and logistics to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Contribute to scheduling activities, follow-up of production orders, and analysis of delays or disruptions.
• Assist in organizing shipments, preparing documents, and following up with logistics service providers when needed.
• Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g. service level, lead time, forecast accuracy, inventory KPIs).
• Analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in continuous improvement or digitalization projects (e.g. process mapping, automation of reports, 5S, Lean initiatives).
• Systems & Tools
• Work with ERP and planning tools (e.g. SAP or equivalent) to update and extract data.
• Support master data quality checks and improvements (lead times, MOQ, parameters, item master).

What We’re Looking For
Education & Background
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
• Previous internship or project experience in supply chain, logistics, or production (a plus, not mandatory).
Skills & Competencies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with data and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of supply chain concepts (demand planning, inventory, logistics, production planning).
• Experience with Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and/or Power BI is an advantage.
• Organized, rigorous, and able to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
• Proactive, curious, and willing to learn and propose ideas for improvement.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team and with multiple stakeholders.
