To support this ambition, we are creating a high-impact role: Global Key Account Manager, responsible for developing and expanding strategic customer relationships, particularly in the fast-growing Data Center segment, as well as in adjacent markets such as Solar.
Role Overview
The Global Key Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing a portfolio of strategic accounts across France, Europe, and selected international scopes. You will work closely with end users, engineering firms, EPCs, installers, and channel partners to win and expand complex, long-cycle projects.
This senior commercial role requires a blend of strategic account leadership, partner ecosystem management, and strong execution capabilities in a matrixed, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Account Ownership

Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts across France and Europe.

Build and execute multi-year account strategies, including growth plans and value propositions.

Serve as the single point of accountability for Nexans on assigned global or pan-European accounts.

Develop strong relationships with C-level and senior decision-makers.
2. Channel & Ecosystem Management

Drive specification and growth through engineering offices, EPCs, and other partners.

Influence partner priorities and secure preferred-supplier status.

Lead joint account planning, pipeline reviews, and commercial initiatives with key partners.

Support the development of European framework agreements and long-term partnerships.
3. Commercial Execution & Deal Leadership

Lead complex, high-value opportunities from early engagement to contract signature.

Coordinate internal stakeholders (Offer/Product, Pricing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal) to deliver competitive proposals.

Ensure pricing discipline, margin protection, and risk management.

Support contract negotiations and manage escalations for critical deals.
4. Internal Orchestration – “One Nexans” Leadership

Act as a matrix leader, mobilizing global and regional teams around customer priorities.

Ensure alignment between sales, offer management, operations, and industrial capabilities.

Provide structured customer and market feedback to influence product roadmaps and innovation.

Represent the customer voice internally to shape offer positioning and execution priorities.
5. Market Intelligence & Strategic Contribution

Monitor European and global trends in electrification, infrastructure, sustainability, and channel dynamics.

Contribute to the development of value propositions, sales plays, and go-to-market strategies.

Share best practices across regions and accounts.

Position Scope
You will own a portfolio of strategic end-user and channel-led accounts across France and Europe, with responsibility for multi-million-euro revenues and a complex, long-cycle project pipeline.
Profile & Qualifications
Experience
-
10–15+ years in B2B sales or Key Account Management within electrification, energy, infrastructure, industrial projects, or related sectors.

Proven experience managing strategic accounts through channel partners.

Strong track record in complex, long-cycle deal environments.

Experience in matrixed, international organizations.
-
Strong knowledge of French and European markets; international exposure preferred.

Mandatory experience in the Data Center market.
