Context

Nexans is accelerating its growth across strategic markets, driven by electrification, energy transition, and increasing demand for complex, multi-country infrastructure solutions. To support this ambition, Nexans is strengthening its Business Development organisation and reinforcing its global key account coverage.

 

Purpose

  • Create Marketing & Communication strategy (incl. Brand strategy) for verticals. Lead and support Marketing & Communication plans to launch and scale vertical value prop.
  • Lead  the deployment of Marketing & Communication plans  externally (content, digital, social

Media). Coordinate marketing communications plans with regions & BUs specifically.

  • Contribute  to the Nexans brand identity and equity through Marketing content and assets  for vertical offers , in collaboration with with Offer Director(s), Regional Marketing Communications Manager and Corporate Communication.
  • Portfolio, CRM  & Marketing Automation (incl. with objective to improve adoption rate across Grid & Connect businesses, expand functional scope  of utilization for sales, marketing & customer services population  in order to increase cross & up sales, improve forecasting, etc.) in cooperation with CRM existing teams (esp. CRM Sales excellence manager & IT CRM manager) 

Areas of responsibility

Lead and support Marketing Communications plans to launch and scale global vertical offers

  • Develop an integrated marketing communications plan with focus on Global Vertical Offers (incl. identification and mapping of main associations to cover by vertical (e.g. EUDCA, FRANCE DATA CENTER, etc), alignment on main communication channels to be used, that suit best countries & audiences targeted by offers). When relevant, work hand-in-hand with Offer Manager and Innovation Director.
  • Manage the Marcom programs and budget
  • Support and coordinate marcom activities in the Nexans Business
  • Own the vertical offer marketing playbook, incl. sales & marketing push-pull tactics
  • Benchmark what competition is doing and make sure we keep up the pace

 

Lead the development of Marketing Communications strategy and support the Roadmap execution

  • Work closely with Brand Director and Corporate Communications team (press, digital, social medias, internal com, events) to develop the MarCom roadmap framework (incl. the key language elements to be re used an adapted by countries afterwards, with focus on key global offers, in collaboration with regions)
  • Build process, tool kits, templates and best practices library for the roadmap
  • Deploy the roadmap with Region to improve overall MarCom competencies
  • Train the MarCom network and lead pilot project(s) globally
  • Work on a storytelling dedicated to marketing highlighting what makes Nexans unique (values, commitments, vision…)  
  • Design and launch digital tools enabling the promotion of global vertical offers (e.g. online dynamic one pages data center, webinars for product & global vertical offers launches, etc.)
  • Develop the End User / Customer use cases
  • Own and develop the Customer Persona for Verticals

 

Lead global marketing communications plans with Regions & BUs

  • Define management routines with the Marketing network
  • Support Platinum Customer & Key Accounts events & to raise the brand image and company profile worldwide
  • Contribute to Account Based Marketing and Marketing Automation programs (company newsletter…)

 

Internal community animation and training on verticals specificities

 

Contribute to the Nexans brand identity and equity through Marketing content and assets

  • Ensure the respect the Brand voice, graphic and content guidelines, including evolutions and brand image surveys, in coordination with Group Brand Director
  • Contribute to a global brand image platform including guidelines, set of templates and tools (e.g. media library) for the Nexans Global Vertical Offers
  • Ensure the application of Group’s graphic standards and image guidelines

 

Responsible for a designed content plan for the  upcoming offers /services/products, launches and other business goals:

  • Content :
    • understanding the basics of SEO
    • searching for relevant ideas to write content
    • breaking it into pieces to distributed it through different channels / formats 
    • ensuring brand voice and design consistency 

 

  • Graphic design
    • designing templates global / local 
    • coordinating social graphics, print materials ensure online and offline presence always up-to-date

 

 

Part of a global team

  • As part of a global team, actively participate and work on key strategic communications initiatives which are global in breadth and scope.

 

Expected results

  • Ensure consistency of marketing communications actions in line with the strategic plan
  • Raise competencies in MarCom function and specifically in developing Value Proposition
  • Raise Nexans and market segment umbrella brands awareness and image
  • Ensure consistency and respect of Nexans’ brand image, worldwide

 

Position sizing

  • Functionally manage a network of Marketing Communications managers in Business Units
  • Closely work with Branding Director and Corporate Communications team
  • Ownership of MarCom budget
  • Work closely with Offer Manager(s), Application Engineers, and Innovation function
  • Interact with customers’ C-level to create relevant customer stories
  • When required, lead the comms

Education and experience

  • Business school or university post-graduate degree
  • 7+ years’ experience in marketing and/or communications.
