Business Development & Go-to-Market (Grid Reliability Portfolio)

Location: Paris La Défense, France    Division: Power Grid – Global Grid Offer Duration: 6 months

About Nexans & the Global Grid Offer:

Nexans is a global pure player in electrification, committed to enabling safe, sustainable, and resilient electricity networks. Power grids are entering a decisive phase: rising electricity demand, ageing assets, accelerating decentralization, and stricter reliability and quality-of-service requirements are pushing operators to move from reactive maintenance toward data-driven, predictive grid management. This shift is opening one of the most significant growth spaces in the energy transition, where grid reliability and digitalization become a core performance lever rather than a cost center.

The Global Grid Offer is Nexans’ answer to this shift: an integrated, Nexans-orchestrated platform that brings monitoring, diagnostics, and digital intelligence together to strengthen reliability, observability, and performance across the medium- and low-voltage network. The ambition is clear, to move customers from products to systems, from monitoring to intelligence, and from pilots to scalable deployments. Having structured its value propositions, business models, and go-to-market playbooks, the offer is now entering its activation and scaling phase. To accelerate this transition, we are looking for a Business Development & Go-to-Market Intern (MBA) to support commercial deployment, sales enablement, and the conversion of the portfolio into repeatable, scalable business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Go-to-Market Activation & Playbook Deployment

· Support the rollout of commercial playbooks across regions and business units

· Help translate strategy and value propositions into ready-to-use sales tools and materials

· Contribute to structuring repeatable, scalable go-to-market models

2. Commercial Enablement & Sales Onboarding

· Support the onboarding and training of Key Account Managers and regional commercial teams

· Prepare enablement materials: playbooks, pitch decks, battlecards, one-pagers, and FAQs

· Help structure the handover from offer development to commercial execution

3. Market Intelligence & Opportunity Qualification

· Map and qualify target utilities, private networks, industrial operators, ports, and airports

· Support competitive benchmarking and positioning

· Produce concise market and opportunity notes for decision-making

4. Commercial Performance & Governance Support

· Support opportunity tracking, pipeline structuring, and CRM discipline

· Prepare executive briefs, meeting summaries, and structured follow-ups

· Contribute to roadmap and commercial performance reporting

 

Profile Sought :

1. MBA student, or final-year Master’s in Business, Management, Strategy, or Engineering with a strong commercial orientation.

2. Strong strategic and analytical skills; able to structure business models and go-to-market plans.

3. Interest in energy transition, utilities, and smart grid innovation.

4. Excellent written and spoken English; French is a plus.

5. Autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, international environment.
