WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Land Engineering team within Power Transmission, based in France.
The Land Installation department plays a critical role in ensuring successful execution of complex cable installation projects worldwide. The team is responsible for all engineering activities supporting land installation operations, including technical documentation, planning, procurement coordination, logistics, subcontractor management, and execution support throughout the full project lifecycle.
As a Senior Engineer, you will primarily work within project organizations and take ownership of land installation engineering activities, ensuring technical deliverables are executed according to project requirements while managing interfaces between engineering, project teams, subcontractors, and operational stakeholders. You will report to the Department Manager, Land Engineering, while working closely with Project Managers and Lead Engineers on day-to-day project execution.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering activities related to complex land installation projects, ensuring successful technical delivery from project design through installation and project close-out.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing technical scope and engineering deliverables related to land installation activities across complex EPCI projects
• Developing engineering solutions, technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements, industry regulations, and project specifications
• Coordinating project execution activities, including planning, procurement support, subcontractor follow-up, logistics coordination, and documentation control
• Supporting resource planning, travel planning, and site execution activities for installation teams and project personnel
• Managing technical interfaces across internal engineering teams, subcontractors, project stakeholders, and operational teams throughout project execution
• Supporting budget follow-up, cost control activities, variation order identification, procurement evaluations, and financial reporting within project execution
• Ensuring safe execution of work activities by promoting strong HSE standards, participating in site safety meetings, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and compliance monitoring
• Supporting tender activities by providing technical expertise, reviewing project assumptions, and contributing lessons learned for future project improvements
• Driving continuous improvement by contributing to process development, knowledge sharing, training activities, and technical development within the department

YOUR STARTING POINT
We know the best candidates do not always match every requirement perfectly, but the following background will help you succeed in this role:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education
• Typically 5–10 years of relevant engineering or project execution experience, ideally within infrastructure, energy, installation, or industrial projects
• Strong technical understanding within engineering disciplines and project execution environments
• Experience managing technical documentation, project planning, subcontractor coordination, procurement, logistics, or field execution activities
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to identify alternative technical solutions when needed
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across international project teams
• Fluent in both French and English, written and verbal
