About Nexans

Nexans is accelerating its growth across strategic markets, driven by electrification, the global energy transition, and increasing demand for complex, multi-country infrastructure solutions. To support this ambition, Nexans is strengthening its Business Development organization and reinforcing its global coverage of strategic accounts.

As part of this transformation, we are creating a key leadership role: Head of Tendering & Pricing, responsible for designing consistent, competitive, and profitable offers for large-scale international projects. This role is central to Nexans’ ability to convert complex opportunities—particularly in the Data Center segment—into scalable, repeatable, and profitable growth.

Role Overview

The Head of Tendering & Pricing leads the tendering process for major international projects, ensuring high-quality proposals, robust pricing, and strong internal coordination across multiple Nexans entities. You will work closely with Sales Managers, Tender Managers, Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, and Finance teams to deliver “One Nexans” offers that meet customer expectations while protecting profitability and compliance.

This role operates in a highly matrixed, multicultural environment and requires strong leadership, rigor, and the ability to orchestrate diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tendering Leadership

  • Manage tendering activities for large, complex projects—primarily Data Centers, but also Solar and other segments.

  • Oversee all components of the offer, including cables, accessories, and multi-factory contributions.

  • Ensure timely submission of high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals.

2. Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Co-lead the Go/No-Go process with Sales Managers.

  • Assess risks associated with RFQs (client, planning, cost, geopolitical, etc.) and define mitigation actions.

  • Ensure full compliance with internal procedures (GMPs, financial rules, legal requirements).

3. Offer Quality & Coordination

  • Guarantee consistency of technical and commercial proposals across all contributing factories and teams.

  • Coordinate closely with Tender Managers worldwide to ensure capacity availability and alignment with standards.

  • Consolidate Profit & Loss scenarios and ensure pricing discipline.

  • Present proposals during Tender Review Committees and highlight key issues.

4. Cross-Functional Orchestration

  • Work hand-in-hand with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, Legal, and Finance.

  • Address challenges raised by stakeholders and drive solutions.

  • Ensure smooth handover from Tendering to Project Management through structured contract reviews.

5. Customer & Market Engagement

  • Support Sales Representatives during customer negotiations.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely, consistent, and unified “One Nexans” offers.

  • Contribute to marketing materials in collaboration with the Marketing Director and local Sales teams.

6. Pricing Strategy & Tools

  • Build and maintain a pricing matrix for international deals.

  • Collaborate with Application Engineers to map and rationalize sourcing options for each cable type.

  • Define and track KPIs to measure tendering efficiency and performance.

Expected Outcomes

  • Delivery of high-quality, consistent “One Nexans” offers aligned with customer expectations.

  • Increased volume and profitability in the Data Center and large-project segments.

  • Improved internal coordination and compliance across all tendering activities.

  • Enhanced customer satisfaction through timely and coherent proposals.

  • Capture of growth opportunities requiring multi-factory, multi-product solutions.

Position Scope

  • No direct reports, but significant transversal leadership across multiple countries, factories, and functions.
